Local Internet Registry

A public index of authoritative objects and recorded relationships across the Local Internet.

Search helps you find things. The Registry helps identify what exists and what it is connected to. It is read-only: it stores nothing of its own, creates no identifiers, and reads every value from the object’s existing authoritative source.

It is not comprehensive, and it does not claim to be. It lists the objects this system can actually prove.

Search — find businesses, places and information.

Registry — inspect authoritative identity and recorded relationships.

They are separate on purpose. Go to Search if you are looking for a business rather than inspecting one.

Look up an object

An existing public identifier resolves straight to its object. An identifier that is unknown, private, unpublished or otherwise ineligible resolves to nothing at all — the Registry will not confirm that it exists or describe it.

A worked example

Follow one real organization from its place to the addresses that publish it — Northland Advertising LLC. The chain stops where the recorded data stops, and the Registry says so.

Organizations (5 Registry-eligible)

Published organization records only. Demonstration objects are excluded here exactly as they are excluded from ordinary public discovery.

Places (9 Registry-eligible)

Only places whose Local Experience is live. Geography that exists in the shared data but has never been activated is not a Registry entry.

Business Records (1 Registry-eligible)

Published Business Records. Each one carries its own stable reference and leads to the addresses that actually publish it.

Published content (14 Registry-eligible)

Offers, articles and other genuinely published items. Drafts and demonstration items are not here.
